THE FAST-TEK TEAM

TECHNICAL TEAM MEMBERS AT FAST-TEK ENGINEERING SUPPORT SERVICES:
The Auger Group, Inc., dba FAST-TEK Engineering Support Services, a State of California Corporation, is located in Point Richmond, California. Most of the current projects are within California, however, the corporation has also performed projects in Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Montana, Florida, Pennsylvania, Canada and Argentina. The corporation is licensed for general engineering contracting in California and Washington and certified for drilling, hazardous materials removal and asbestos abatement in California.

Olivia P. Jacobs, R.E.A I, C.E.M. is the co-founder and President/Chief Executive Officer of the corporation. She is a Senior Project Manager and Principal Environmental Specialist. She has worked in the environmental industry since 1990, in environmental due diligence, Phase I Environmental Assessments and oversight of all company work. Ms. Jacobs is a State of California Registered Environmental Assessor I, a Certified Environmental Manager in Nevada and a credentialed Lead and Asbestos inspector. Ms. Jacobs is a co-founder and the majority owner of the firm. She has a bachelor’s degree in The Great Books Program from Saint John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland and a master’s degree in health care administration from Texas Women’s University in Houston, Texas.

James A. Jacobs, P.G., C.H.G., R.E.A. II, C.P.G. is Chief Hydrogeologist for the company and has been with the firm since 1990. He has over 25 years of environmental remediation experience and is a Fulbright Scholar with 3 awards in environmental engineering and science. He is a certified hydrogelogist in California and Washington and a Professional Geologist in California and several other states. He has written over 100 technical articles and co-authored two books: CRC Press’ MTBE: Soil and Groundwater Resources (2000) and the Chromium (VI) Handbook (2005). He has been an expert witness and his focus has been in-situ remediation of soil and groundwater impacted by hydrocarbons, solvents and metals. He is president of a local sewer agency and since 2002, he was elected to the board of the local community services district which provides wastewater, refuse, recycling and park and recreation services. He has a bachelor’s degree in English and geology from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in geology from the University of Texas in Austin.

John McCain, P.G. is a Senior Geologist and a professional geologist in California. He has managed small and large environmental projects providing technical expertise to remediation and assessment challenges for private, state and federal client projects. He has over a dozen years of experience. He is interested in environmental technical issues, as well as project budgeting, task management, and safe work practices. He has a bachelor’s degree from Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Erik Lervaag, P.E., is a Senior Environmental Engineer and Project Manager with over a dozen years of experience. He is registered in Florida as a professional engineer. He has more than a dozen years of experience working on remedial projects for both private and public clients. Cases include both petroleum hydrocarbon, chlorinated solvent and pesticide remedial projects. He worked for several years as a state regulator in Florida. He has a bachelor’s degree in biology with an aquaculture specialty and a master’s degree in environmental engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida.

Arron Wilder, CPSS, PG, is a Senior Project Manager and Soil Scientist with almost a decade of experience. He has focused on remediation of soil and groundwater as well as project management. He has participated in wetlands restoration projects. He is a professional geologist licensed in Texas and a Certified Professional Soil Scientist. Arron has bachelor’s degree in soil science and rangeland resources from Humboldt State University in Arcata, California.

Gavin Fisco is a Staff Geologist and Project Manager on a variety of bench testing studies, quarterly reports and other environmental projects. While in college, he had experience working on stable isotope variation in Ordovician brachiopods from the Trenton Group of Central New York and he participated in a seven week field-camp ranging from the highly metamorphosed Taconics of Vermont to the ancient sedimentary basins of Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. Recently he has been involved with the company’s in-situ injection program. He has a bachelor’s degree in geology from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York.

Sandy Young is a Senior Technical Editor for the company. She has been performing technical editing since 1982, having worked 13 years with the Federal government as a technical editor. As a technical writer, she is focused in environmental science and remediation technologies and being able to describe the projects in clear and concise language. She also helps private clients with cost reimbursement paperwork for project funding. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of California-Berkeley in German, and a master’s degree in business from California State University- East Bay.

Kevin Pope, is a Senior Level Field Manager, who has been designing and implementing field services for over 20 years. He is an expert in direct push sampling for soil, groundwater and soil vapor. Kevin has an associate’s degree in forestry from Lassen College in Susanville, California. He also has a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from Fresno State in Fresno, California.

SUPPORT STAFF:

Philipp Ilagan is the Computer Aided Design Drafter. As a CAD Drafter, he prepares detailed schematics of remedial systems and boring logs and maps. He has worked on a variety of engineering drafting projects at the company.

Sharon Hardin has 25 years work experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper. Her work background has been in the fields of consulting engineers, real estate development, construction, and property management. Sharon has a bachelor’s degree in humanities and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Dominican University of San Rafael, California. She is currently working on her master’s degree in business administration at the University of Phoenix, in Novato, California.

Hermy Tam is an Administrative Assistant. She helps the Project Managers to expedite the issuing of report and the copy, bind and send operations for reports and letters. She also assists Project Managers with other tasks as assigned. She has training in business management and accounting from The Themas Valley University in Hong Kong. She also has health care administration certificate from San Francisco City College in San Francisco, California.

Jen-Jen Huang is a Project Administrator and Accounts Receivable Billing Clerk. She prepares invoices and assists the Project Managers to track project costs and schedules. She has training in accounting from Houston Community College in Houston, Texas, computer programming and administrative accounting from the University of Houston in Houston, Texas and a master’s degree in education from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
